Our Facility
In the thirty years that we have been in business, the Korean Academy of Taekwondo has had five different facilities. The newest facility, the Timani Center, was specifically built to be a state of the art martial arts facility. It was completed in July of 2004 and will be our home for several years down the road.
The Timani Center has over 2,500 square feet of training space, a beautiful sound system, and a LCD projector that allows students to watch and analyze many different taekwondo techniques and figures on a 10 ft screen.
Our facility is unique in that it features an electronic Blitz pad which is capable of measuring the force of a strike using special sensors. (The Blitz pad is currently broken from hitting it too hard) We also have a Herman Digital Trainer from Century Martial Arts which uses internal accelerometers to measure strike force.
