Many people make the mistake of assuming that
just because someone is good at martial arts, they will also
be good at teaching. KAT offers a rigorous instructor training
program that includes CPR/First Aid, Anatomy and Physiology,
injury prevention, public speaking, learning styles, working
with ADHD and learning disibilities, motivational skills, and
more. The course includes coursework, practical experience,
correcting the "Misadventures of Master Malo"
and a 3 hour written test. In addition, there are minimum age
and belt requirements for all certified instructors.
