Instructor CertificationMany people make the mistake of assuming that just because someone is good at martial arts, they will also be good at teaching. KAT offers a rigorous instructor training program that includes CPR/First Aid, Anatomy and Physiology, injury prevention, public speaking, learning styles, working with ADHD and learning disibilities, motivational skills, and more. The course includes coursework, practical experience, correcting the "Misadventures of Master Malo" and a 3 hour written test. In addition, there are minimum age and belt requirements for all certified instructors. All our instructors must pass a minimum fitness test from any branch of the US Military. You may want to see our current Instructor Rankings. Our instructors also undergo continual training to be the best that they can be. See the reviews on Google below to see some of the things people have to say about our instructors. Our instructor training is based on the book Teaching Martial Arts: A Practical Guide written by Master Bill and Master Katie. Click on the title to see the book on Amazon.com We also created the site www.wikidrills.com to collect thousands of different drills in one place for our instructors.
