Master Ghassan Timani
is a 6th degree black belt and has over 25 years of teaching
experience, both with the Korean Academy of Taekwondo and
the Auraria Campus, where he was a part time faculty member.
He has been a central figure in Colorado Taekwondo, serving
on the board of the state association for the last ten years
and as president from 2001-2003.
Master Ghassan is a national level
certified referee and coach, and was a U.S. delegate to
the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, where Taekwondo
made its debut as an official medal sport. Master Ghassan
works with the competition sparring and forms teams.

McKenna 6th Degree
Black Blelt
Master McKenna has been studying martial
arts for 35 years, and is a 6th dan in TKD under Grand Master
Mountain Kim. He also holds a second dan rank in American
Freestyle Karate and a first dan in Hapkido. He is an international
TKD referee and most recently refereed at the US Olympic
team trials. He serves as VP of the Colorado State TKD Association
and has been referee director for over 10 years.
Master Jason McKenna 5th
Degree Black Belt
Master Jason began training in Taekwondo
nearly 30 years ago. He has a 5th degree black belt in Taekwondo,
a 1st degree black belt in American Freestyle Karate, and
a 1st degree black belt in Hapkido. He has competed internationally
in Karate, kickboxing, and Taekwondo, and have won state
titles in all three. He has also have trained in judo, submission
wresting, kajukenbo, and boxing. Master Jason is the head
instructor of the KAT South Branch.
Master Emelio Tio 4th Degree
Black Belt
Master Emelio has been training in
martial arts for over 30 years. He personifies indomitable
spirit, and even a total hip replacement has been barely
enough to slow him down. His emphasis is the traditional
aspect of Taekwondo.
He is also a colonel in the US army.
Master Emelio is heading up the KAT Texas Branch while serving
the US in Baghdad.
